Gattungsmerkmale:
Fruchtkörper mit Hut und zentralem Stiel, dünnfleischig, kurzlebig, ohne Velum, im Habitus an Dachpilze oder Mürblinge erinnernd. Hutoberfläche glatt und feucht. Stiel gebrechlich, ohne Ring. Lamellen frei oder knapp angeheftet. Fleich dünn und gebrechlich.
Sporenpulver lebhaft braun.
Sporen ellipsoid, glatt, dickwandig, mit apikalem Keimporus, J-. Cheilocystiden dünnwandig, Pleurocystidia fehlend oder selten.
Lebensweise saprobiontisch auf Mist, Mulch und Debris.
